Thesis Reader

Meltwater to Megawatts — Chapter 1, sentence by sentence

The manuscript as written, with its provenance one click away. Click a sentence (captions and equations included): the panel beside the text shows the claims-ledger rows behind it, each cited paper with the passages this thesis relies on, every number with the function that generates it, the figures it points to, and a written explanation. Keys: j/k move, e ticks “I can explain this”, / finds.

Provenance & caveats

Generated from the manuscript source by scripts/thesis/reader.py in the fable5dixon repo, from the same files as the Word build: every number resolves from thesis/numbers.json, every citation from the literature package, every figure from a script. It cannot drift from the manuscript; it is rebuilt whenever the text, the numbers, the claims ledger or the bibliography change.

Under each sentence, a four-part explanation (in plain words · why it is here · what stands behind it · be ready for) is study material written by the AI assistant from the project record — not thesis text. Sentences tagged [interp] are the author's to accept, cut or reword. Ticks stay in your own browser; the four reviewers' note boxes are shared on the site.

The study flashcards (six decks, each card citing its thesis section, with a number sheet and a from-memory story drill) are a separate page on claude.ai, also written by the AI assistant from the Chapter 1 draft and checked against it; they are study material, not thesis text.
